    Freedom to operate searches

A patent is a legal title stopping others from using, selling or marketing the invention but it is not a guarantee that the holder can commercialize the invention. The patent may be covered by another, broader patent. In such cases, to avoid infringement, a Freedom to Operate analysis is performed before commercializing products disclosed by the invention. Nordic Patent Analyzer perform such searches.
